Advertising Age

Advertising Age (sometimes abbreviated as Ad Age) is an American newspaper and website covering the advertising and marketing industries. It publishes features, news, and commentary on topics such as marketing, digital media, agency creativity, and cultural trends. The brand also offers Ad Age DataCenter, a service that provides subscribers with access to proprietary data about the ad industry.

The publication was founded in 1930 by Grit publisher Wesley Prindle. It is currently owned by Crain Communications. Advertising Age is headquartered in New York City.

In 2013, Advertising Age magazine’s editorial staff won 32 Society for News Design awards, more than any other publication. These awards included seven Gold Awards (for best overall design, best use of photography, best use of illustration, best infographics, best table of contents, best special issue design and best online/mobile experience), as well as recognition for writing, reporting and multimedia storytelling.

Ad Age also publishes a global edition of the magazine, which was launched in 2007. The global edition is available in print in the United States and has a separate website with its own content.

In May 2016, Ad Age announced that it would cease its print publication and become a digital-only publication. The last print edition was the April 2016 issue.
